Rhema Joseph Ahonsi, a student at UNILAG, on November 25th, 2023, began a 120-hour singing marathon by an individual with the goal of breaking a Guinness World Record.
This came a day after Subair Enitan, a student of OAU, kicked off a 50-hour hand wash-a-thon.

The 27-year-old Rhema Ahonsi, obtained approval from Guinness World Records in July. However, he made the decision to delay the event until the excitement among Nigerians for Hilda Baci had subsided.
The ongoing sing-a-thon is taking place at LAMP Studio in Unilag and is scheduled to conclude on November 30th. As of now, Rhema has already surpassed the 12-hour mark in his singing endeavor.
He is determined to challenge the current record holder, Sunil Waghmare from India, in the category of the longest singing marathon by an individual.
About Rhema Ahonsi
1. Rhema Ahonsi is currently a gospel singer, who began his singing journey at the age of 10.
2. He is currently a 200 level student of Creative Arts at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
3. In 2022, Rhema Ahonsi achieved the title of Mr. JAMBITE at UNILAG.
4. He has showcased his talent on popular Nigerian singing competitions such as Nigerian Idol and The Voice Nigeria.
5. Rhema Ahonsi has also had the privilege of working as a background singer for renowned gospel artist, Chidinma Ekile.
6. Additionally, he has worked with the Veentage Band.
