The arrest of former head of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team, DCP Abba Kyari, would ensure his extradition rather than prevent it.
This was made known by on air media personality, Daddy Freeze, on his Facebook page.
This was in reaction to speculations that the cop’s arrest was orchestrated to prevent his extradition.
Kyari, until his arrest, was being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States of America who indicted him in a fraud case involving Instagram celebrity, Ramon Abbas (Hushpuppi).
He was arrested alongside four others after the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency declared him wanted as a result of drug links.
Thus, many believe the arrest was aimed at stopping his extradition to the U.S.
However, Daddy Freeze noted that Nigerians were paranoid. He said the NDLEA arrest would ensure he is extradited.
He said: “Nigerians are too paranoid. How can you even suggest that Abba Kyari was arrested by NDLEA to prevent extradition? Come on guys! If anything, the NDLEA arrest will facilitate the extradition. But for all we know, it could be a game of chess, Una paranoia don begin dey affect me too o.”
