Nine persons have been reportedly dead after a truck collided with two commerical vehicles in Ogbelaka Junction, Edo State on Tuesday.
According to eyewitnesses, the truck, loaded with sand, was said to have collided with the buses in an attempt to overtake a trailer leading to the death of the passengers.
Meanwhile, the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Bello Kontongs, has said four persons died in the accident.“
It involved a truck coming from Upper Sakponba that lost control and ran into a white bus, killing three people on the spot, while one died on the way to the hospital. The injured victims have been rushed to a hospital for treatment,” he said.
