For many years, Ikeja City Mall (ICM) has remained the primary shopping and leisure destination for both residents and visitors of Ikeja. However, Jara Mall is now emerging as a strong alternative, breaking that cycle.
Jara Mall, a proudly Nigerian-owned retail complex, offers a shopping, dining, and entertainment experience. Located at 22 Simbiat Abiola Way, Ikeja, it is conveniently situated beside the Ikeja BRT terminal and railway station, making it easily accessible to visitors. It’s in close proximity to Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), Computer Village, LUTH and Secretariat, making it near to the people. Since its opening in December 2019, Jara Mall has continued to expand, welcoming more businesses and increasing its customer base.
Upon entering the mall, one of the first things you’ll notice is its spacious parking lot and the added convenience of a car wash service located in the corner. The mall is not overcrowded, and inside, there is a comfortable outdoor lounge area furnished with chairs and tables, perfect for chilling or eating. For movie lovers, Viva Cinemas provides a great cinematic experience within the mall for affordable prices.
Jara Mall is home to a variety of eateries and restaurants catering to different tastes. Popular chains such as Domino’s Pizza, KFC, and Indomie Cafe offer quick meals, while Kilimanjaro restaurant serves affordable local dishes. For those craving dessert, Cold Stone Ice Cream and Hatlab Premium Gelato are also available.
Beyond dining, the mall provides a robust shopping experience with stores offering various products and services. It has stores like Miniso, and Montaigne Place for perfumes. Tech enthusiasts can explore I-Devices, specializing in Apple products, or visit the Sony store. Gamers will also appreciate the selection at Game Buzz, offering the latest gaming experiences. Fashion options include stores like LadyMiami Clothing, Bally Walls Clothing Co, SP luxury and Puma offering a range of styles.
The mall also has its own Jara supermarket, Nigeria’s first discount store which offers low prices on a variety of grocery products. Other stores in the mall are 4 angels saloon, Broadspices, and Permajoy juicery.
In addition to recreational activities, Jara Mall prioritizes health and wellness with R-Jolad Express Clinic, which provides primary care services, and Medplus Pharmacy, offering over-the-counter and prescription medications.
Though still new compared to Ikeja City Mall, and the growth and success not yet on the same level, Jara Mall is on its way to becoming one of the well known shopping malls here in Lagos.
