Nigerians are criticizing Patricia, the sponsor of BB Naija, accusing them of being a scam. Several scandals have suggested that Patricia is untrustworthy and might have run away with people’s money.
Recently, Patricia, a Nigerian crypto exchange, introduced its digital currency, Patricia Token (PTK). They claim that 1 PTK is equivalent to 1 US dollar. Users with Bitcoin or Naira balances on the platform received PTK in exchange.
This announcement came after Patricia disclosed a security breach that resulted in financial losses. They assured customers that their funds were safe, but people have been unable to access their money since April.

Nigerians claim they have been scammed
Earlier, as they announced the new Token, many people were concerned about the new token introduced by Patricia because it’s not commonly used, even by large crypto companies.
As Nigerians continue to be unable to access their funds, they are losing trust in Patricia and suspect they may have been scammed.
We don’t have all the details yet, but we will provide updates on the situation regarding Nigerian money.
