Failing to complete this process could result in an inability to purchase electricity tokens and an interruption in power supply.

How to link your NIN to your meter number

 Here is how you can link your NIN to your meter number:

1. Visit https://smartkyc.ikejaelectric.com/nin 

2. Click on the “Link your NIN And Meter” button. 

3. Provide your phone number, NIN (National Identification Number), and email address. 

4. Confirm the accuracy of your NIN details and proceed to the next step if correct.

5. Input your meter number and the verification code sent to your email, then click “submit.”

Each meter can only be linked to one NIN, except for landlords with multiple meters who can use their NIN repeatedly. 

You need to link my National Identification Number (NIN) to your prepaid electricity meter number before the November 1st deadline. 

This ensures an uninterrupted electricity supply and a seamless experience with your prepaid meter.

  1. This update is not working like you described, i tried it and it’s giving me different steps to go and create a profile for meter that is not mine. Dish out better information.

  2. Justin Onaghino , I applied for a prepaid meter, and I haven’t got account number.
    Kindly advise me , I thought they said that the account number will be issued within 48 hours.
