Seyi Makinde approves Oyebola as new Aseyin of Iseyin | Ikejabird.com

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has given his approval for Prince Olawale Oyebola to ascend to the throne as the new Aseyin of Iseyin. 

This appointment follows the passing of the previous Aseyin, Oba Abdul-Ganiyu Salawudeen, on July 24, 2022.

The announcement, made through the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, is in line with the state’s Chiefs’ Law.

Oyebola was elected by the kingmakers

Prince Oyebola, based in the United States, was elected by the town’s kingmakers last month.  

Governor Makinde congratulated the new Aseyin-Elect and expressed hopes for further development in Iseyin during his reign.

The governor is also set to host former President Olusegun Obasanjo in the state to commission key projects, including the Oyo-Iseyin Road and the LAUTECH College of Agriculture and Renewable Natural Resources in Iseyin.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Oyo State Seyi Makinde has told the people of his state that they can vote for a candidate of their choice.

The governor made this statement while addressing a town hall meeting in Ibadan on Wednesday.

While Makinde asked his followers to vote for People Democratic Party candidates vying for House of Representatives and Senate, he indicated that voters should look beyond party lines while choosing their presidential candidate on February 25.
