A Nigerian woman has advised couples to prioritize their marriage with their partner over everyone including their children.
The married woman identified as Omolola Dauda while responding to a tweet that queried, “Married people, what advice would you give someone who is looking to get married?” stated that children should not be prioritized.
According to her, children are precious visitors in marriage and would eventually leave, she stated that having this fact in mind, one should then work on their marriage outside of parenting.

She advised that when the children have left their parent’s home, it will just be the couple which is why their relationship from the get-go should be the most important thing to them and they shouldn’t prioritize their children over working and building their marriage.
“Children are precious visitors in marriage. No matter how long they stay at home, they’ll leave someday. That’s why it’s important to work on your marriage outside parenting. In the end, it will be back to just the two of you,” she said.
Following her advice, many social media users agreed with her words and stated that many Nigerian women forget these days and abandon their marriages to focus on their children.
