Lauren James has spoken out following her sending off in England’s Women’s World Cup win over Nigeria on Monday, which got her a red card for stamping on Michelle Alozie.

The incident occurred late in the match’s second half when the Chelsea playmaker, frustrated with her own performance, reacted impulsively with the stamp. 

In response to a Twitter post by Alozie, James expressed her remorse and conveyed her respect and love.

Lauren apologise to Alozie 

She acknowledged her dedication to both her England teammates and fans, emphasizing that playing with and for them is a significant honour.

Alozie replied to her Apology

The 21-year-old attacker’s message was in reply to a social media post by Alozie, in which she appealed to people to forgive James. 

Alozie playfully replied to her that it is all gone, noting that the game is driven by passion, intense emotions, and moments. Her tweet emphasized the respect she has for Lauren James.
