Tottenham Hotspur has turned down Bayern Munich’s most recent offer for Harry Kane, as the proposed deal did not meet the required cash amount to convince Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to agree to the transfer.

This decision was made after  Bayern’s ultimatum to Tottenham to accept an improved bid for the 30-year-old forward by Friday night, following a week of discussions between the two clubs.

Despite negotiations held last week that led to an improved bid, Bayern Munich’s offer still fell £25 million short of Tottenham’s valuation for Kane, which seems unlikely to be bridged.

Bayern bids for Harry Kane

This situation indicates that Harry Kane might be staying put and seeing out the final year of his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Bayern Munich’s initial bid for Kane was €70 million plus additional incentives, which was turned down in June.

A subsequent increased offer was rejected in early July.

The distance between the two clubs’ valuations of the player was evident in previous bids, with Tottenham’s chairman Daniel Levy expressing that a bid of £100 million or higher would be necessary for the sale to proceed.
