All Passengers survive as helicopter crashes into Lagos Building

In an unfortunate incident, a helicopter carrying four passengers, including the pilot, crashed into a building.

The building was situated near the AP filling station and United Bank for Africa (UBA) on a busy commercial avenue in Lagos.

According to the  CCTV footage, the chopper exploded upon impact, creating panic and chaos in the area. It occurred right in front of a UBA branch in the Ikeja area.

Four injured in the crash

Authorities from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) promptly arrived at the scene, and emergency operatives, including the Lagos Fire Service, took immediate action. 

The state governor’s chief press secretary, Gboyega Akosile, confirmed via Twitter that all four occupants were successfully rescued and rushed to the hospital for medical attention. 

The Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, also visited the crash site to assess the situation.

All four passengers, two white and two black men, were retrieved alive from the wreckage. Both the pilot and co-pilot were safely evacuated to a nearby medical facility. 

The situation is now under control, and the investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.

Residents angry as NDLEA operatives shoot two dead

In another news, The National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operatives has allegedly shot two people dead in Idioro area of Mushin, Lagos State.

The NDLEA apparently stormed the streets at around 10 pm for a search to raid a drug chain but started shooting in order to scare off the hoodlums, Punch reported.

However, in a bid to achieve their aims and apprehend people abusing drugs, stray bullets that were fired by the operative killed two persons including a young man, Gafar Yusuf.
