Inibehe Effiong, a human rights lawyer, has defended the comedian and skit maker, Cute Abiola whose real name is Abdulgafar Ahmad for using a police uniform in his skit video.
Recall that Ikejabird reported that the NPF (Nigerian police force) is set to investigate and take legal action against the comedian over the use of a police uniform.
The public relations officer of the police force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi made this known in an official statement on Thursday.

Following his official statement, Inibehe argued that Cute Abiola did nothing wrong as he explained that skits were well-known for entertainment.
He asserted that if the case is pursued, the police will face public ridicule and judicial rebuke as he added that the use of police uniforms for skits was not a new thing all over the world.

NPF to prosecute Cute Abiola for “derogatory portrayal of the police uniform”
In other news, the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) is set to investigate and take legal action against skitmaker, Abdulgafar Abiola, popularly known as Cute Abiola due to his inappropriate use of their uniform in his skits.
This was made known in a statement released on Thursday, by the force PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
The statement read, “In as much as the law grants Nigerians the right to enjoy their fundamental human rights, the same law prohibits an individual, under whatever guise, from rubbishing the police institution or grossly violating its provisions with regards to the use of uniforms.
