He first visited his primary school, Adetunji Nursery and Primary School, Alfa Yahaya, Ilorin, and then proceeded to Government Day Secondary School.
At Adetunji Nursery and Primary School, Awoniyi was warmly received by the school’s proprietor, Abdul Rahman Adetunji. During his visit, he expressed gratitude to the school’s founder, acknowledging the profound impact the individual had on him during his time in the school.

He planned to renovate six classroom and hall
The Nottingham Forest striker has promised to renovate six classrooms and a hall at Government Day Secondary School in Ilorin.
The management of the school expressed their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for his valuable support.Awoniyi took the opportunity to encourage the pupils and students of both schools, urging them to relentlessly pursue their dreams.
Awoniyi’s impact on and off the field has been commendable. Following his ÂŁ20 million transfer from Union Berlin last summer, he proved to be a good signing for Nottingham Forest, contributing crucial goals that aided the team in securing their position in the topflight league during their first season back.
