Nigerian rapper and singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng better known by his stage name Skales shared the story of his humble beginning while on an interview session with Chude Jideonwo on WithChude talk-show.
The music artist opened up on how he grew up in a poor home with his family. He categorically said they lived in a kitchen where he sleeps under the bed and his mum also used it as a shop.
Skales shared about his music career and mentioned that it suffered a setback after he parted ways with EME Records. He also expressed how he was labeled as a failure, and people questioned Banky W’s decision to sign him to his record label

The veteran Nigerian singer made a public statement that he had no place to stay following his departure from EME Records. It was not until his colleague Timaya discovered his situation and was moved to tears that he offered him his penthouse to live in.
Skales spoke about his journey to success and shared that Olamide, his colleague, reached out to him and provided the funds he needed to produce the music video for “Shake Body.” He credited the success of the video for his renewed popularity.
The singer stated that his disagreement with Wizkid arose from a misinterpretation of one of his tweets. However, they have since resolved the issue.
