Anthony Chukwu has proven to many that no matter the age exercise is still the best practice to a healthy lifestyle.
One would imagine how a 65-year-old would have six packs and display an amazing level of flexibility.
Speaking exclusively to Ikeja Bird, the fitness trainer revealed that he had started the journey 40 years back.
“I started fitness training as early as 15 and became a physical and health instructor after I graduated from the university in 1992.
“Ever since then, I discovered that exercise is not a project to lose weight or build muscles, I continued it as my daily routine.”
Papa Tee as he is fondly called also made it clear he is as physically strong as young person and can work out for hours without getting tired at his age.
He continued: “I believe I still be physically fit to do the same exercise zwhen I clock 70 and beyond.
“I still have endurance, power, flexibility and I’m still using them for all the workouts for the people I’m training and for myself.
“I can still do the split, raise one leg above my head and even do a canon ball.
“I won Mr Ultimate 30 years ago and those I competed with as far back as then have developed pot bellies, so many can not even engage in any physical exercise because they stopped.”
Mr Chukwu also emphasized the health benefits of exercise.
He added: “When you are into exercise all the sicknesses like malaria and typhoid that comes into your body will come out through your sweat.
“A person that smokes and drinks can also maintain good health and good looks if he engages in regular exercise.”
