After eight long months of academic war, university students have hope in continuing their respective academic activities.
Eight months isn’t a short time to imagine how long the Nigerian students have been away from studying, many stayed idle for that long, swinging back and forth on the internet, some had learned vocational courses.
It’s been a challenge for parents, students, and even the big lions – ASUU and the FG – fighting themselves over the industrial strike.
Even with the hope of resuming on campuses, the union claims that the issue has not been resolved, and they are only obeying the injunction of the court.
While they may intend to proceed with academic activities, the union remains adamant over non-availability of transport fare to return to schools.
With these back and forth and an unstable agreement between the FG and ASUU, is continuation of the strike imminent?
While speaking with our correspondent, students expressed their grievances as they called this frequent strikes a threat to their future.
Members of ASUU are blaming the FG for sabotaging their love and commitment to the students.
It must be known that industrial strikes have lasted for a cumulative 4 years and 7 months since 1999 till date.
