Following in the wake of Tiwa Savage, Oxlade, and others, Moyo Lawal is the latest addition to this exclusive club.
And while we could go on to debate as to how exactly these celebrities keep on finding themselves in this kind of messy situation, we won’t. Instead, amidst the Moyo Lawal scandal, we’re compiling a list of Nigerian celebrities with leaked sex tapes who have somehow made their private parts public.

Tiwa Savage
Ace Nigerian songstress, Tiwa Savage stirred diverse reactions online after her sex tape was released to the public. Leaked in the early hours of Tuesday, October 19, 2021, it was gathered that her unknown lover had erroneously posted the video on Snapchat. And when he realized his mistake, he quickly deleted it.
However, it was a game of fastest fingers, and someone got a copy before it was taken down. The person decided to use it to blackmail the singer, but she refused to pay and the video was eventually leaked online.
Tiwa Savage’s private moment was visible in the video, and people had different opinions about it. Some criticized her for allowing the video to be made, while others praised her for not giving in to the blackmailer. She defended herself later, saying what she did was natural and not wrong.

Buba Girl
Esther Raphael, also known as the TikTok star “Buba Girl,” is a female Nigerian in her twenties who makes TikTok videos for entertainment and educational purposes. She joined the list of Nigerian celebrities with leaked sex tapes when she sent a private masturbation video to someone on WhatsApp, set to view once for privacy purposes.
However, in a flash of cruel ingenuity, the recipient manually recorded the playing video with another phone and leaked it online in August 2023.
Raphael was ashamed about it and made a public statement on Instagram, saying, “I am not perfect, but I am human. I make mistakes, just like everyone else. But I will not let this define me. I will not let this break me. I will rise above this and come out stronger.”
A number of her fans were against her, but many more were on her side. They encouraged and advised her on the best thing to do and how to come out of it victoriously.
Nengi
Rebecca Hampson, also known as Nengi, is a popular BBNAIJA housemate and star. She finished as second runner-up during her season on the show and has since received numerous endorsements and acting roles in films.
However, a sex tape featuring her and an ex-boyfriend was made public in 2021 following a messy breakup. And even though Nengi didn’t address the video while it trended on social media, she received criticism from some Nigerians for allowing her ex-boyfriend to record their private interaction.

Oxlade
Nigerians were left in a state of shock after Oxlade’s sex video was leaked online, and for a number of reasons. The musician was seen having sex with an unnamed woman in the video, which was released on February 8, 2021.
The woman from the video officially announced her plan to sue Oxlade for N20 million on November 10, 2021, after her face was seen and her identity was revealed. Two days after the video’s release, Oxlade apologized to his fans and the woman in it on Twitter after initially making no comment about it.
Janemena
Usiwo Orezinena Jane is a well-known brand influencer and singer in Nigeria who is also known by her family and friends as Janemena. She is known for appearing in videos dancing, particularly twerking, and wearing little or no clothing at all.
Controversy arose around Janemeena in 2021 when Tonto Dikeh claimed that her ex-boyfriend Joseph Egbri, sometimes known as Prince Kpokpogri, had the influencer’s naked images and sex films on his smartphone. The dancer was furious and demanded that Dikeh, who had recently broken up with Kpokpogri, give proof right away. A few weeks later, a video with a man who resembled Jamemena, who is married, and who has been severely beaten, was made public.
Janee adamantly denied the allegations that she was the woman in the video, stating that her female features were bigger.
Moyo Lawal
Lawal is the latest inductee into the Nigerian celebrities with leaked sex tapes Hall of Fame. Her sex tape was shared online by an unknown source on Saturday, September 9, 2023, in which the actress was seen engaging in coitus with a huge bearded man.
However, it appeared that both partners were fully aware of what they were doing as she asked for a better placement of the camera at some point.
In a statement, Lawal expressed her distress over the unauthorized sharing of a personal video that was never meant for public consumption. She emphasized that the video, which featured her and her ex-partner from a previous relationship, was a breach of her privacy and trust.

James Brown
Nigerian crossdresser, James Chukwueze Obialor, popularly known as James Brown had his sex tape released in October 2022. The Princess of Africa joined an elongating list of Nigerian celebrities with sex tapes, despite his self-acclaimed feminity.
James Brown was seen having intercourse with an unidentified woman. He also ejaculated on his sexual partner in the short clip.
Isbae U
Nigerian Instagram comedian Ismail Adebayo professionally known as Isbae U has also gotten his tape leaked to the public.
The skit-maker, in the video leaked online could be seen masturbating in a restroom, while also filming himself.
Although Isbae U has been dragged online for allegedly sleeping with girls before giving them roles in his comedy skits, he did not come out to talk about his own leaked video.
