Popular Nigerian singer and award-winning musician, Divine Ikubor well known as Rema has left many netizens gushing following his speech in the Headies Award show.
It was reported by Ikejabird that the Afrobeat singer and songwriter won several awards in Headies some of which were “Best Male Artist” and “African Artist” of the Year.
Following this, after getting his award, the singer was given the spotlight and stage for his speech, he started by appreciating the producers, directors, and his fans for making him achieve this milestone.

Rema warmed many hearts when he stated that he wasn’t in the event because of the award but he was present because he wanted to support the institution.
He asserted that Afrobeats was slowly failing and if care is not taken might fall, taking a jab at some artists that weren’t at the award show, the singer stressed how important it was for Afrobeats artists to support institutions in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Rema’s highly anticipated concert in Atlanta, Georgia, took an unexpected turn as extreme heat conditions at the venue forced him to cancel the event.
During his brief appearance on stage, Rema was seen wearing a hooded jacket, and reports suggest that he complained about the unbearable heat in the venue.
Unfortunately, after performing only two songs, the Charm crooner had to walk off the stage amid the crowd’s disappointment and disgruntlement.
