A court in Plateau State, has sentenced an 18-year-old, Solomon Paul, to six months imprisonment for stealing a sewing machine.
The presiding judge, Lawal Suleiman, sentenced Paul after he pleaded guilty to the one-count charge of theft with an option of a N10,000 fine.
The N70, 000 worth of machine was said to have been sold by Paul for N1,500.The court however ordered Paul to return the sewing machine or the value to the complainant.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Ibrahim Gowkat, told the court, that police investigation reveals he is a habitual criminal.
