16-year old cries out to betting platform, loses 30k to games

A 16 year old teenager cried out on Tik Tok for help as he loses 30k to games due to betting.

In Nigeria, different betting platforms have been created that enables both young and old to develop a habit of gambling, while calling it a hustle.

After betting on games with his school fees, the young lad lost 30k to games and went back to sportybet page to beg them to refund his money but unfortunately, there’s a no refund policy with sportybet.

In the video he posted, he sent a message to SportyBet Nigeria, begging him to return the money as it was his school fees.

Here’s how the conversation played out: 

16 Year Old: “Please, return my money. I’m just 16years old and it is my school fees.

Sportybet Nigeria: Hi, pleased be advised that it id strictly forbidden for persons under the age of 18 to open an account and use our services. The money once lost, cannot be refunded. Thanks.

16 year old: Please, abeg sporty man.. Oh my God, Im just 16. Please forgive me.”

Meanwhile, Daniel Regha, a Twitter influencer, recently posted a tweet criticizing Davido’s spending habits and its impact on the youth. 

According to Regha, Davido’s expenditure on cars and jewellery is wasteful and unnecessary, and showing off his purchases on social media is not required.

The tweet sparked a lot of responses, with some people telling Regha to mind his own business, while others agreed with him, stating that the money could be better utilized in creating good businesses in the country.
