Ola Olukayode has assumed the role of the new Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This announcement comes four months after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu suspended AbdulRasheed Bawa, who held the distinction of being the youngest Nigerian to ever lead the agency.
Bawa’s suspension, which occurred in June, was prompted by allegations of misconduct in his capacity. However, now, after this four-month interim, Olukayode has been chosen to take over as his successor.
