Prof Alamu recently produced a textbook in Yoruba for Chinese universities offering Yoruba Language as a course.

This was the first of its kind in China and he was greatly commended for the good work.

Prof Alamu stated that the Nigerian government must emulate the development by encouraging teaching of students in local languages for effective learning, among other issues.

In his opinion, there should be no reason why Nigerians shouldn’t adopt our own languages for instructions.
